The home of sports at Lowerplace!

Dodgeball RBSGP

Tonight the children took part in the Rochdale Borough School Games. Only having a few training sessions and one game before tonights event, the children didn’t know how they would do. In the first game v Sacred Heart the children cam flying out of the blocks, showing their skills in throwing, catching and dodging. They won the first game 2-1. Lowerplace saw how good St.Joseph were and knew it was going to be a tough game. Again the children went out flying winning the first game, drawing the second game and winning the third game! Lowerplace were now top of the group with one game to spare. However, being as competitive as we are and wanting to win, Lowerplace went for the win. In a game against their local rivals Broadfield, Lowerplace were tough taking no prisoners. In the first game beating Broadfield with all 6 children still on the pitch. Lowerplace went for the win in the second game something they had not done in the competition. The children secured victory in the second game against Broadfield meaning that they won with one game to spare and 5 children left on the pitch. Lowerplace will now take part in the Rochdale dodgeball finals, where we will be hoping to take victory for the second time this year! @LPS_PE
